Lions off to winning start

The Amaanah Lions continued their strong start to the season with a third win in Division 1A of the HFA.

A 2-1 win over strong opposition in Sebanari FC takes the Lions 1st team to 3-0 for the season. The 2nd team also registered another win, scoring six goals in a comfortable victory.

Mahdi Alizada was named man of the match for a strong all round performance, including the opening goal.

Lions Head Coach Amine Amrouni praised Mahdi's work rate and effectiveness.

"Mahdi's fighting spirit made the difference today," he said.

"His work rate and effectiveness in transition made him a worthy man of the match."

The Lions will be back in action next week.
